Comment:
This novel is about the ultimate disaster: the collapse of civilization. It also presents a theory about how to prevent such things and how to build a better civilization while you're at it. Fascinating.

The Castle Keeps
by Andrew J. Offutt
Paperback
Publisthed by Berkley Medallion Books, 1972.

Comment:
This book is so out-of-print that it's not even listed in the Amazon.com catalog. However, in many respects it is the best "living in a diasaterous future" novel you will find.

Y2K -- It's Already Too Late
by Jason Kelly
Paperback - 384 pages
Published by JK Press, 1998

Comment:
The first novel about Y2K, and it's not a bad story, either. Rather like a Tom Clancy thriller, although shorter, and the author knows more about computers than Clancy does.

Y2K: The Millennium Bug
by Don L. Tiggre
Hardcover, 540 pages
Published by Xlibris Corporation, 1998

Comment:
The second novel about Y2K. I'm very pleased, because he refers to this web site on page 47! Very well written it is, too. Highly recommended!

Patriots; Surviving the Coming Collapse
by James Wesley Rawles
Paperback - 352 pages, 1998
Huntington House Publishers, 1998

Comment:
A survival manual disguised as a novel. The quality of the novel is uneven, ranging from clumsy to very good. The survival manual is superb. I bought multiple copies of the self-published edition to give to friends.
