SHELTER!

"You can't have everything -- where
would you put it?" -- Steven Wright.

Hum ... good point! But you have some things, including yourself, so you need a place to put it. And you. You need a place to keep the rain off your head, and the frost off your toes. A house. A dwelling. A domicile. You know, a pad!

Used steel shipping containers. You've probably seen these things sitting on railroad flat cars whizzing by as you're stopped at a RR Crossing. They're 8-feet high, 8-feet wide, and 20- and 40-feet long. A feller could put these things to good use I think. And, they deliver!

Utah Shelter Systems -- the way the world is going today, maybe it's time to start thinking about bomb shelters again. These guys have the designs that were actually tested using real nukes back in the 1950s. They also sell a book called Nuclear Defense Issues for $25.

by Ragnar Benson
Paperback
Published by Paladin Press, 1998

Comment:
This book replaces his 1983 volume on the same topic. He writes: "The last 15 years have dramatically illustrated that the great enemy of self-sufficient people is a government that rigorously and self-righteously demands that its citizens either remain or become mindless dependents. Sad to say, but no government in the world seems willing to tolerate self-sufficient, self-confident citizens, as was true in the formative days of the United States, in spite of the fact that these are the very citizens who contribute most to any society's economic advancement. (Preface)"
